The Accounting Specialist Record to Report (R2R) will be responsible for securing company assets by applying tight controls in financial transactions for Sandoz Greece, while providing accurate financial information and timely reporting of balances. The role will ensure that systems, documentation, compliance and reporting are in place, to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end processes to Sandoz.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs period end closing and reporting in accordance with IFRS and Sandoz required standards
  • Performs balance sheet account reconciliations of allocated accounts and ensures timely resolution of overdue items identified
  • Ensures proper accounting of financial transactions and accounting specific questions are addressed
  • Performs statutory year end closing
  • Performs calculation of Accruals and Provisions
  • Ensures proper linkage and functionality of all financial reporting systems
  • Resolves record to report issues by working cross functionally with various departments
  • Ensures all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented
  • Proactively reviews accounts to ensure all financial transactions are valid and recorded to ensure accuracy of reported data

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years accounting experience , preferably within an international company in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance; MBA or MSc in Finance will be an asset
  • Good IFRS knowledge
  • Good ERP (SAP) knowledge
  • Fluency in English & Greek, both in oral and written communications
  • Excellent communications skills and effectively collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Analytical mindset and ability to understand situations, interdependencies, and challenges in a holistic way
  • Flexibility and prompt reaction to any business change
  • Interest to learn, explore and develop within the given role
  • Good MS Excel skills and good technical understanding of finance management systems
