Shop assistant position available:
Wakefield Dairy and Bakery is looking for a shop assistant.
Situated in Wakefield close to Nelson we operate a busy bakery and store 7 days a week. The store is busy and we need a shop assistant to serve our customers.
Shop assistant's daily duties include:
Serving customers in our busy shop and bakery
Stocking and presentation of the shelves
Taking payment from customers
Cleaning the shop including all surfaces from the windows, shelves and floors
Unpacking deliveries and storing stock in the correct manner
Pricing and displaying of stock
Preparing basic bakery items for display such as making sandwiches or icing bakery products.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team. Flexibility is a must as the successful candidate will be required to work rostered shifts, evenings, weekends and school/public holidays.
This is a full-time 30 hours a week ongoing position paying $29.66 per hour.
The perfect candidate will be:
- Hardworking, able to stand for long periods of time
- Have a helpful and friendly attitude
- Have a desire to achieve their best to support the team
- Able to work shifts, including weekdays and weekends
- No experience is required as full training will be provided.
