The candidate will be responsible for consolidating financial results for the Austen Group of companies and ensuring that accounting standards, controls and accuracy are maintained whilst meeting Northern Marine Group/ Stena Group reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate period end closing activities, prepare and deliver financial and management reports for the Austen group of companies
- Perform analysis of income statements, balance statements and cash flows
- Review reconciliation schedules and ensure reconciliation items are kept current
- Assist in the review of the monthly management reporting of all Austen BUs including analysis of income statements, balance statements, cash flows and reconciliation schedules
- Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecast including review and consolidate BU budget pack for submissions to head office
- Provide support for ERP system enhancements and help to identify and propose new business process enhancements
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and other initiatives, including preparation of annual report, board papers and provide user training on systems and processes
- Support the compliance, internal controls, audit and tax matters
- Supervise junior accounting staff
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the BU

Education and Experiences
- Relevant accounting professional qualification, Diploma/ Degree or Professional Qualification in ACCA
- 5 years of direct accounting or finance experience with good technical background, including management and statutory reporting
- Good technical knowledge of local FRS and IFRS
- General knowledge of Marine Supply industry and Shipping
- Highly organized and structured with strong level of accuracy and attention to detail
- PC literate with MS packages
