The opportunity
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly Lifeguards to join Federation Council’s Corowa Aquatic Centre and Howlong pool who have the following attributes:
- Demonstrate initiative and are friendly and approachable.
- Interact confidently with a diverse range of people.
- Are passionate and enthusiastic about providing a safe aquatic environment for all.
- Are available early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends.
Criteria
The successful applicants will possess the following skills and qualifications (or have the ability to acquire):
- Hold or have the ability to acquire, a current Provide Advanced First Aid and CPR qualification
- Demonstrate good written communication skills with the ability to complete standard forms.
- Provide a current and valid NSW working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills including the ability to manage complaints and resolve conflict.
- Hold or have ability to acquire a current Pool Lifeguard Licence.

Benefits
The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. Junior to Senior Casual Rates range from $18.56 to $37.40/hour, this includes casual loading, this range depends on age, qualifications, and experience. Please note that weekend work is the base rate + penalty rates. This is a Grade T2 to Grade 5 in Federation Council’s Salary System. The position requires you to be available on a roster covering weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evening shifts.
