As a Account Manager you are expected to develop strategic relationships and align customer and business goals, creating and managing a business and execution plan for shared success between the customer, vendor partners and the company.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact from customer interface to company resources. Drive and support high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develop strong, strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage business goals, growth strategies and profit drivers to deliver the appropriate business
- Provide leadership and guidance in critical customer planning and engagement.
- Perform critical customer analysis to identify and leverage the partner’s marketing programs and achieve growth in the customer’s solutions capabilities.
- Engage customers in joint planning that integrates the company's services, programs and supplier partnerships securing customer commitment for the development of a comprehensive investment in strategies that advance the company’s market position and financial goals
- Conduct regular business reviews with assigned accounts to track progress toward revenue and growth goals and own execution of the business plan.
- Maintain and monitor pipeline and metrics for the assigned customers
- Support supplier strategies by aligning solutions with the customer to maximize profitable growth and customer expansion
- Closely manage profitability by minimizing profit leaks and maximizing gross profit
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Level Specifications:
- Develop expertise of business, financials, products/services, the market, or account needs.
- Expanded knowledge of the industry, market and sales processes; broaden sales capabilities
- Further develop an understanding of the range of products/ services that the organization and its competitors sell and that assigned customers purchase
- Work with moderately complex territory/assigned accounts, products/services, sales or account management processes.
- Refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determine best course of action to achieve results. Solve sales problems in straightforward situations; analyse possible solutions using sales experience
- Work independently within an assigned territory/account base with moderate-sized accounts/opportunities
- Be flexible to set and negotiate terms within defined parameters
- Plan own territory or account approach
- Collaborate with internal team managers and support functions
- Impact own sales quota and that of others; work within a defined territory or account list to guidelines and policies
