Accountable:
- For the economic performance and target achievement of Cluster
- Develops cluster CL strategies (products and solutions, business development targets, operational SOPs, business excellence programs etc.) derived from and based on Regional and Global standards, tools and strategy
- Implements Global and Regional IT-strategy, systems/solutions for CL
- Manages (if applicable) the cluster business development and/or operational excellence funds and allocations to branches
Accountable & Responsible:
- Taking personnel decisions related to Cluster CL team incl. Area and Site Leaders with respect to defined red/grey reporting lines and close alignment with P&O
- Defines and enhances the organizational setup and Cluster self-similar structures
- for CL
- Establishes Cluster operational framework based on corporate and regional standardization of administrative and operational processes, facility management, benchmarking and regulatory compliance procedures
- Provide inputs and joint decision on Solution Pricing strategies linked into Deal review sign off.
- Interface with key regional/cluster customers to facilitate new business scoping, pricing and RFQ responses as well as defining project plans for implementation of customers’ requirements in the Cluster
- Processes Cluster market intelligence, KPIs and statistical data/reporting to Head of CL Region x
Consulted:
- Supports regional CL in development of cluster aspects of corporate (DB Schenker) CL strategy (products and solutions, business development targets, business excellence etc.)
- Supports regional CL regarding regional CL tender, regional Sales and Marketing regarding identification and acquisition of cluster strategic accounts and attendance on key customer meetings
- Minimum 10 years Logistics / Similar Industry Experience, with a major focus on Operations, Business Development, Account Management and with Commercial goals. Experience in modern warehouse and distribution and supply chain is preferred.
- Have a proven record of success in achieving agreed Business Objectives, eg. Sales / P&L / Account Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or relevant field.
- Fluent spoken and written English a requirement
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to a range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization both internally and externally (customers and vendors) and able to Manage Effectively in a Matrix Environment
- Strong analytical skills with good commercial and technical understanding of CL.
- Able to multi-task and work under time pressure.
- Able to travel within China and overseas (40-50%)
- Demonstrate the capacity to build, develop, coach and lead a team of people, in a dynamic, multinational and multicultural environment
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Ability to build and develop sound business cases
- Understanding of WMS and TMS systems, Knowledge of billing systems a plus
- Strong knowledge & experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics & Transportation industry a plus
