Are you a fun, enthusiastic person who loves dealing with people and capturing the beauty of household decor? Do you enjoy rummaging and getting your hands dirty? Our Online Estate and Downsizing Auctions help previously loved belongings find love again in a new home. To do this, they have to look their best online so people will buy them.
We are looking for freelance photographers to help with our online estate and downsizing auctions. We are building a roster of people for both the photography and working at the auction pickup/estate sales roles. You don't necessarily have to work both all the time.
Our Transition Squad Managed Auctions typically require three to five people, including the project manager, to go into a home, pull everything out of cupboards, basements and the like, set them up into "lots" and photograph them from various angles while making notes on the condition and dimensions. Photos must then be uploaded from your home and updated with the notes taken.

You must be comfortable with e-commerce still product photography and the use of computers and websites. You must have your own transportation and smartphone. While descriptions will be basic, you must have good English grammar and spelling skills to generate them. Due to the sensitive nature of taking you into a senior citizen's home, you will be required to provide a clear criminal background check after your evaluation period if you are to continue working with us.
A car is not absolutely necessary but you are required to make your own way to the clients' premises and be on time. Clients can be anywhere in the GTA. Once we get a client's contract in place, we will send out an eblast to our roster to see who is available.
Compensation is $18/hr for the first three jobs so we can evaluate each other. If you like us and we like you, it will bump up to $20/hr. There is also a mileage allowance if the job site is out of our core radius. Each job will typically cover 4-8 hours or so. Auctions don't currently run every week, however when we have them, photography will typically be done during the week and auction pickup and estate sale will typically be done on one day of a subsequent weekend.
