They are seeking a talented and experienced Apparel Production Manager to join their team and contribute to their continued growth and success.
Job Description:
As the Apparel Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of our client’s collections. You will collaborate closely with tbe design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to oversee the entire production process, from concept to final product. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and industry expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality and meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the production process, supervising and motivating the production staff.
2. Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programs.
3. Drawing up a weekly production schedule, ensuring products are produced on time and are excellent in quality.
4. Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules when needed.
5. Sourcing, ordering and purchasing production materials from the market, or online vendors.
6. Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
7. Conduct fittings and properly document fitting issues.
8. Relate fitting issues to the production team for onward correction.
9. Suggest sewing, patterning, and cutting techniques to production staff to achieve the design.
10. Take a record of each tailor’s task and liaise with the accountant for their pay.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Proven experience (3+ years) in fashion production management, preferably within women's wear.
2. Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
3. Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
4. Proficient in using production management software and tools.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for building and maintaining partnerships.
6. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changes quickly.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position. Working hours will be discussed during the interview.
