The HP Supplies Planet Partners Team, in the Takeback Operations organization, is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing take-back (collection), recycling, and compliance reporting solutions for end-of-life used HP printing supplies (e.g. inkjet and toner cartridges). We manage our programs and processes on a day-to-day basis to ensure they meet HP’s legal and environmental obligations, quality, cost goals, and the needs of our customers. We are also responsible for developing and driving plans for continuous improvement, re-engineering our network and processes, and selecting the best suppliers and partners in the market to work with.

MissionThe Supplies Voluntary Planet Partners Program (PPP) provides convenient and free of charge solutions for HP customers to return and recycle their used HP inkjet and toner cartridges. The Supplies Takeback Operations Program Manager’s main responsibilities will be to manage the operation of the Supplies Planet Partners program in EMEA, and to lead/co-lead projects to improve or expand Take Back services that HP provides to customers, enhance operation capabilities, drive cost reduction, increase efficiency, and to successfully implement services in new countries where expansion is required.

Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced Take Back solutions from planning through to execution, including the outsourcing of the operation, by applying in-depth market and industry knowledge.
- Seamless operational program management, in line with HP policies and best practices, to ensure KPI’s, financial results, and all other key deliverables are provided with the required quality and on time.
- Take leadership to identify opportunities for service enhancement and process improvement, providing recommendations and provide insight to management team.
- Monitor compliance/regulatory requirements of new countries or changes in current countries, working together with the Sustainability team and suppliers.
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Collaborate with the rest of HP Supplies Planet Partners Team to define business objectives and develop business strategies.
- As Ops expert, provide direction and guidance to improve processes, and to define new initiatives to ensure compliance, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Extensive experience in end-to-end supplier/vendor management (vendor relationship management, request for quotation/proposal, negotiation, vendor selection and onboarding).
- Procurement interlock. Legal knowledge and experience to define supplier contracts (Master Service Agreements, SOW’s), set up Purchase Orders, work with Accounts Payable.
- Financial management/oversight. High-level knowledge of finance processes to provide guidance to the team, do/lead budget planning, monthly cost reviews (Actuals vs. Budget) with understanding of deviations (i.e. insight behind the numbers).
- Lead and/or provide expertise to cross-functional project teams, participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Metrics:
- Deliver results according to agreed annual goals, track accomplishments quarterly.
- Run the program/operation smoothly and with minimal escalations.
- Ensure order management system/processes (e.g. HP Planet Partners web site) and customer experience are in line with expectations. Ensure the service is provided according to agreed service-level metrics (e.g. TAT).
- Manage logistics and recycling suppliers in a collaborative and effective way, ensuring 100% compliance (i.e. valid contracts in place with all directly-managed vendors, in line with HP policies).
- Program reporting with metrics and KPI's in place and actively managed.
- Keep costs under control. Timely delivery of monthly and quarterly deliverables to Finance (month-end closing, Flash, etc.). Prepare and provide annual budget with required detail and on time.
- Interlock and engagement with key HP-internal stakeholders.
- Comply with applicable legal requirements and HP Standards.
Education and Skill set required:
- 7-10 years of experience in a Supply Chain Operations role.
- Strong business acumen and technical knowledge of operation (e.g. logistics, supply chain) processes.
- Experience working in operations, defining operational processes, managing suppliers with international service coverage and responsibilities. Knowledge and experience in Services and Sustainability will be highly considered.
- Able to learn quickly and adapt well to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong business judgment, organizational, prioritization & execution skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Autonomy, curiosity, and leadership skills to promote change and implement improvements.
- Strong project management skills, including project structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; mastery in English.
